Our Idea of the Best Car

After lots of consideration over the last few weeks you must now be wondering what we think is the best car for you buy. Noticed how we didn’t mention “new” and that’s because a new car is not our cup of tea, we are mechanics and we know our way around cars. And when you look at the savings involved when you buy a car that is few years old, or maybe a little older, it’s crazy. You will save enough money for a lifetime’s worth of service and repair costs.

That being said you can save even more money if you buy a car that needs repairs. This is often the case with cars that you can find at dealer auctions and need work. Sometimes these cars need lots of work, sometimes not that much. In either case you can save additional money as opposed to buying a used car from a dealer that most likely did the same thing. There’s a reason that they call them dealer auctions.

We have served many customers this way where they find the vehicle that they want at an auction and then let us do all of the work on it. These cars are often just as good as any other car, but cost thousands of dollars left only because of their poor dating history - the accidents.

Don’t let the title fool you either. Some of these cars come with a salvage title, but when they are rebuilt they need to pass very strict testing to be certified safe - a lot more than a typical car would have to do. In most cases they are even stronger than they were originally. However, not all mechanics do an equal job. So be sure that if you want your next car repaired right, you bring it to us at Top Gear.
