A New Way to Earn Money With Your Car in London

There’s a new ride service available in London, Ontario called Uber. It’s basically an alternative to the traditional taxi, and you can request a ride using your smartphone from their app, naturally called Uber. There are a lot of reasons to use the service, one being that it is suppose to be cheaper than a normal cab, you can see pictures of the car and driver, and you can rate the driver as well as see their ratings. Some people say that safety is a topic of concern because the drivers and cars aren’t registered as taxis like traditional cabs are. Be rest assured that Uber completes an RCMP background check on each applicant, so you should have some peace of mind.

The reason we chose to write this article is because we wanted to tell you that if your car is less than 5 years old and you have a clean record, you too can become a driver for Uber. You drive in your spare time and other drivers are reporting making around $20 an hour. You don’t have to do it all the time, you can quite literally sign in and decided to drive whenever you want.

There’s even a VIP Uber service for drivers that want to take this really seriously, and even make some bigger cash. This VIP service has some other requirements for your vehicle and we are pretty sure that it needs to be black in colour. Basically it is geared towards a higher end clientele.

So here is the big IF. If you decide to use your car to make money with Uber or any other service, remember that your vehicle will need service and maintenance more often. You don’t want any unexpected surprises coming up. And then there’s the question of insurance, and we are not your experts on that, so check with your insurance company or on Uber’s website.
